Watch: Did Ranbir and Anurag ignore each other at Kapoor and Sons screening?
Mumbai: Little did Anurag Kashyap know that his film ‘Bombay Velvet’, which had generated an unprecedented curiosity and enthusiasm among the audiences, during its making, would meet an even more unprecedented future.
While Karan has often joked about the debacle saying that he has not been offered any roles after 'Bombay Velvet', looks like all is not well with Anurag and Ranbir Kapoor.
The film which was labelled as an 'epic disaster' has apparently soured their friendship. Anurag and Ranbir were invited for Karan Johar's 'Kapoor and Sons' special screening where they didn't acknowledge each other.
While Anurag was addressing the media, Ranbir chose to keep his distance from the director and was seen chatting with Varun Dhawan and other guests.
Ranbir, who was taking big leaps to stardom with movies like ‘Wake Up Sid’, ‘Rocket Singh’, ‘Rockstar’ and ‘Barfi’, suffered disappointment in the guise of ‘Besharam’, 'Bombay Velvet' and 'Roy’.
Ranbir is currently shooting for 'Jagga Jasoos' with Katrina Kaif and 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' with Anushka Sharma. On the other hand, Anurag is gearing up for the release of 'Raman Raghav 2.0' which stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
