It's a Sholay reunion at launch of Hema Malini's music album
Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan seemed to be in a jovial mood when the veteran couple came to attend the launch of their good friend Hema Malini’s music album.
The entire Sholay team came together to support the “Dream Girl”. Dharmendra and Ramesh Sippy were also present along with Hema Malini and the Bachchan seniors.
When Hema jokingly declared that Big B would be singing a song next, the megastar echoed the humour saying, “We have been married for 42 years and I have been singing only till now.”
Jaya Bachchan, who is usually very reserved at public functions, surprised every one with her quick retort. The actress said with a laugh, “Ye gaana ga rahe hain, naach main rahi hoon.” (He sings and I dance).
She also spoke about how Dharmendra has been her one and only childhood hero, and that she can never miss an opportunity to share the stage with him.
The mood was clearly musical because next it was Hema Malini, who expressed her desire to sing a song that has been written by her husband Dharmendra.
“He writes beautifully and next time I want to sing something that he has written.” Dharmendra then recited a small poem written by him and added a special touch to the occasion.
