Watch: Pritam at it again? Bulleya from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil could be plagiarised!

Mumbai: It's hard to make music when you're Pritam as every song of yours is pedantically scrutinised for signs of plagiarism.

Pritam's title track for Karan Johar's 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' was released to unanimous acclaim, mainly courtesy Arijit Singh's soulful vocals.

The multi-starrer, that has Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anushka Sharma and Fawad Khan in lead roles, alongside a reported cameo by Shah Rukh Khan, had already been in the news owing to its impending clash at the Diwali box-office with Ajay Devgn's highly anticipated 'Shivaay,' thanks to self styled critic Kamaal R Khan's ugly spat with Ajay Devgn.

But seems like, the film's troubles are far from over.

The second track from the film, which got released at 11 AM on Friday, instantly got most hooked but there was an obstrusive sense of déjà vu.

Turns out, the key riff in the song, which kicks off at around 00:10 seconds is eerily reminiscent of Papa Roach's cult hit from the 90's, 'Last Resort'.

Usual suspect in the act?

The song, which is otherwise quite captivating, is also reminiscent of the kind of soulful Sufi numbers, one is used to associate with Coke Studio and also cult songs as 'Sayyonee' by Pakistani band 'Junoon'.

But one thing that needs to be specifically appreciated is the palpable chemistry between lead actors Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Despite this being their maiden on-screen pairing, the pair has knocked it off the park.

However, a plagiarism row would be the last thing that Karan Johar needed at the moment, we guess.
