College students organise a flash mob to promote Banjo

The film is about the banjo players from Maharashtra and how this art has been neglected despite numerous youngsters involved in it.

In a unique promotional strategy, the makers of ‘Banjo’ conducted flash mobs across nine iconic locations in Mumbai on the eve of Independence Day. Several hundreds of students from Mumbai’s Jai Hind college promoted Banjo’s upcoming song Bappa, across heavily populated locations like Andheri, Goregaon, Marine Drive, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Domestic Airport and many more.

The film is about the banjo players from Maharashtra and how this art has been neglected despite numerous youngsters involved in it. It revolves around Nargis, who plays the role of a girl born and brought up abroad and visits India for a purpose. Interestingly, ‘Banjo’ is the second film of Riteish along with Nargis post ‘Housefull 3’.

‘Banjo’, produced by Eros International, directed by Ravi Jadhav, starring Riteish Deshmukh and Nargis Fakhri, releases on 23rd September, 2016.
