Mumbai: Twinkle Khanna’s witty comments about various current affairs on Twitter and in her columns are always a hit with her fans, but the writer-producer goofed up perhaps for the first time on the social networking website.
Twinkle recently watched the blockbuster film ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ and later took to Twitter to say in her trademark witty style that she was calling her daughter Nitara by the name of one of the most popular characters, Katappa, much to her superstar husband Akshay Kumar’s annoyance and that she was getting obsessed with the name Katappa, calling it addictive, just like eating wafers.
Saw Baahubali & I've been calling my daughter Kattappa much to her dad's annoyance-Perhaps he would prefer her being called Rowdy instead:)— Twinkle Khanna (@mrsfunnybones) May 14, 2017
All right perhaps I am a bit obsessed- but try it- say Kattappa 3 times and you won't be able to stop- it's like eating wafers - addictive!— Twinkle Khanna (@mrsfunnybones) May 14, 2017
Sibi Sathyaraj, son of Sathyaraj, who played the character of Katappa in the film, retweeted her post and said that he was really honoured.
Twinkle mistook Sibi to be the actual Katappa and went raving about how marvellous he was and congratulated him for the resounding success of the film.
@Sibi_Sathyaraj Sir you were marvellous -we have seen part 1 and 2 in succession today - congratulations on the resounding success— Twinkle Khanna (@mrsfunnybones) May 14, 2017
That’s when Sibi corrects Twinkle that he was Katappa’s son, and said that his father was a big fan of Twinkle’s father, yesteryear superstar Rajesh Khanna, and conveyed his regards to the family.
Mam I'm Kattappa's son!Dad is really happy to see your tweet!He's a big fan of Rajesh Khanna Ji!Our regards to your family😊 https://t.co/yFBaSpqjul— Sibi (Sathya)raj (@Sibi_Sathyaraj) May 14, 2017
Twinkle accepted her goof-up and conveyed Sibi her best wishes.
This is not the first time such a goof-up has happened as cricketer Anil Kumble had also made headlines recently when he accidentally tagged Sagarika Ghose instead of Sagarika Ghatge while wishing Zaheer Khan for his engagement.
Celebrities perhaps need to be a bit more careful on social media....
