Mumbai: After having made his first film ‘Dostana’, Tarun Mansukhani was waiting to make the sequel of the film. He worked on the film for a long time as his mentor Karan Johar asked him to rework the script on several occasions. After having lost his patience, Tarun decided to move on a new project and the sequel to 'Dostana' was eventually shelved.
While other directors, who have been launched by Karan, went ahead to make more than one film under the banner, Tarun's collaboration hit a roadblock. Karan and Tarun had great fallout and none of the two extended an olive branch, until now.
As April 16 happens to be Tarun Mansukhani’s birthday, the official handle of Karan's Dharma Productions posted, “Here's wishing the smart, the wise and the hilarious @Tarunmansukhani a very happy birthday!”
In an interesting turn of events, Tarun wrote, “.@DharmaMovies thank you for so many compliments. However, I don't think @karanjohar would approve!!”
In a bid to cleverly handle the situation, Dharma Productions replied, "No @Tarunmansukhani He will, again... as soon as you're ready with your next! 😊 @karanjohar Goodluck for making the year count."
Minutes after this conversation, Karan Johar posted, "Happy 40 @Tarunmansukhani !!! Welcome to the decade!! And make the decade count!!! Love you lots!!!!"
.@karanjohar thank you K!!! This decade will be only about counting!!! Got my Drive back!!!— Tarun Mansukhani (@Tarunmansukhani) April 16, 2016
Wish you a very Happy birthday Tarun! All the best for your furture endeavors.
