Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan had almost ignored Ranveer Singh on Twitter a few days back. The superstar conducted an #AskSRK session on the micro-blogging site, where Ranveer had also tweeted to him, but Shah Rukh, without even reading the tweet ended his session. However, the superstar apologized in a sweet manner later. He said that since he considers Ranveer Singh Khilji (his character name in ‘Padmaavat’), he missed the tweet.

But do you know that there was a time when Ranveer almost ignored SRK, that too during Ranveer’s debut Bollywood film ‘Band Baaja Baarat’?

The movie received lots of praises and Ranveer was then welcomed in the industry with open hands. Ranveer probably might have already been overwhelmed by the tremendous love, and it so happened that baba missed a call from none other than superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

Narrating an incident on a TV show, Ranveer recollected how the director of ‘Band Baaja Baarat’ Maneesh Sharma teased him saying, “Aur call aagaya, khush hai? (You got the call, are you happy?).” This left Ranveer confused, and when the actor checked his phone, he realized that he missed a call from a number that had 555 in it, which meant that he had missed Shah Rukh Khan’s call.

For any debutant, missing a call from the King himself is a big deal and so, Ranveer Singh became paranoid and kept staring at his phone, which is when it rang again, and on the other line, was Shah Rukh Khan, congratulating the boy for his first success.

Today of course, the two have become really close and Ranveer has often promoted SRK’s films (be it dancing with Shah Rukh himself on ‘Jabra Fan’ or re-enacting ‘Tu Mere Saamne’).
