Mumbai: Karan Johar has always been vocal about his love for superstar and frequent collaborator Shah Rukh Khan.
The director has often referred to him as a mentor and a near fatherly figure.
In excerpts from his autobiography, he had also went on to emphasise on how allegations and tasteless rumours of a sexual relationship between the two had traumatised him.
However, at the launch of, 'An Unsuitable Boy,' KJo didn't hesitate from revealing the finer nuances of their relationship.
Karan spoke at length about what made him fall in love with the superstar.
"I grew up with movie legends. Being a producer’s son, I grew up feeling movie stars are untouchable entities. The fact that SRK respected my father so much and showed it meant the world to me. I fell in love with Shah Rukh Khan then," he revealed.
