Hindi films bit exaggerated: Kareena Kapoor Khan

Backed by Karan Johar, Good Newwz follows two couples with the same surnames whose decision to opt for in-vitro fertilisation goes awry.

Busy bee Kareena Kapoor Khan is all set for her next big film Good Newwz, which she says has a topical subject. “I think it’s been a great journey because the film is very entertaining; it is quite topical also. It’s an interesting topic on IVF and it’s been turned around and made it into dramedy. People will like it, I am very sure,” says the actress

Backed by Karan Johar, Good Newwz follows two couples with the same surnames whose decision to opt for in-vitro fertilisation goes awry. Kareena, who had a gala time shooting for this film, says it reminded her of her pregnancy days. “Every day, I had to wear the pregnancy stomach, it looked so natural. When you see on screen, it will look natural too. This was pregnancy without the parathas; that was pregnancy with the parathas. I used to eat 10 parathas a day, now I eat one,” she laughs.

Hindi cinema has been an expert when it comes to exaggerating things, and labour pain is something that’s been dramatised the most. Bebo says: “In Hindi films, a little bit of exaggeration is there. But in this film, we tried to show it to be as much real as possible. Also, labour pain differs from person to person,” she concludes.
