Mumbai: Emraan Hashmi has been here for more than a decade. He is known for his 'serial kisser' boy image. Emraan Hashmi is coming after a gap with his next venture Cheat India. The trailer of Cheat India has been recently revealed. The trailer looks alluring enough. Given an opportunity to talk with Emraan Hashmi we put forth a volley of queries which he answers aptly.

What's your opinion on the education system of India?

It is literally not practical at all. There is loads of emptiness in the system. We definitely need to change or education system. It should not be pressurizing kids with loads of books and home work. I think this needs to be over. Our education system needs to be changed drastically.

Have you ever cheated during your Schooling or college times?

I have really cheated only once in my life time. However, now working in films. I remember, unfortunately, I had not prepared for my Economics’ Examination. The examiner was aware of the fact that all  the candidates fairing for this Economic Examination were unprepared. He told us that, "I am here for about 40 minutes and after that another examiner will take over the charage. So those who wish to copy may go ahead and copy from your books. That day I copied for Economics. And today I can tell you that I cheated and obtained about 75% of marks. At this point of time I am not proud of this act. Indeed I feel ashamed to disclose this to you. I know cheating is not good at all. I would not like to promote it at all.

Have you ever known the fact that papers are also sold before the examinations to the children?

Yes! I know this is prevalent here too. I remember one of my friends met a middle man before appearing for the Math examinations. This middle man handed over the Math’s paper to this friend of mine. However, this experience turned very bitter to all those children who had thoroughly prepared only this Math’s paper. As after two day on the date of the Math’s examination. All these kids were disheartened as,the paper handed over did not have a single question in the paper the were to attempt. The math’s paper was totally different. Undeniably, all the 20 children who prepared for this paper  failed miserably. So such things also happen here.

What more on our Education System would you like to express?

Owing to our Education System children are forced to take to cheating. The pressure of obtaining good percentage of marks is too much on the children. I do not justify cheating at all. If at all we promote more on creative side of education system – then children will not cheat. We need to promote learning and not putting up the pressure of obtaining certain percentage. Life learning things should be taught to the children so that they are able to face the World.

Adding further more in the educational system changes Emraan says,” We need not promote mugging up system at all. The entire so, called structure pattern in Education System which has been there for ages needs to be changed entirely. Its a known fact that mugging just to pass will never allow the children to adapt to the real life pressures…getting jobs too becomes impossible for those children who pass out by mugging. As these children can not adapt to the prevailing so called practical life. Thus being unemployed and the pressure of percentage, or be it passing with flying colors all this if children are unable to achieve they even commit suicide.

Emraan Hashmi’s film Cheat India showcases the state of our Education System. Emraan will be seen in a negative role in this film. Directed by Soumik Sen the film is all set to release on the 25th January, 2019.
