Director Maneesh Sharma, who last directed the Shah Rukh Khan starrer, Fan, has met with Yash Raj’s Aditya Chopra. He wished to discuss ideas for his next film with the producer, who also happens to be Maneesh’s mentor.
“Maneesh has been penning ideas for a few months now and has even scrapped a number of drafts before he suggested this project to Aditya Chopra. The producer has given a nod to the film and now the hunt is on for the lead cast,” says a close source, adding that the film is likely to go on floors in the middle of next year.
It is a well known fact that Aditya is very particular about the plotline of whatever film he produces. So far, Maneesh has had a tough time trying to impress the man behind the big empire, be it with Ladies v/s Ricky Bahl or Band Baaja Baaraat. The film will be the fourth association between the Aditya and Maneesh and will hopefully satisfy the producer’s high expectations.
