Aamir Khan's Secret Superstar to clash with Sanjay Dutt's comeback film Bhoomi

Mumbai: Just when you thought that Sanjay Dutt’s return to celluloid will be smooth, news of Aamir Khan’s film releasing on the same day as Sanjay’s ‘Bhoomi’ started doing the rounds. ‘Bhoomi’, a family drama by Omung Kumar, will be released on August 4 next year.

Even though Aamir has a cameo in the film, the superstar’s presence is good enough a reason to rock Sanjay’s return boat as he has been away from the limelight for quite sometime now.

Talking about the clash of these two ‘heavyweights’, a trade analyst told a leading daily,” This is not a clash on the scale of, let’s say, a Raees and Kaabil. But, at the end of the day it is the coming together of two heavyweights on the same day,” says a trade expert, adding “Both films would be looked at quite keenly.”

Omung Kumar, who has not started with the shoot yet, has a tough job at hand. As of now, he has only finalised the lead pair. While the film’s release date has been finalised, much can change in between.

“So far, the two things that have been officially confirmed are the facts that Bhoomi would mark Dutt’s comeback on screen and the release date. As is the saying, there is many a slip between the sip and the lip. Both films are still more than six months away. Much can change in time to come,” predicts the source.
