30 months, Zero work

Actor Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in a full-length role in his 2018-film Zero

Though he dubbed for Mufasa’s voice in the Hindi version of Disney’s live action film, The Lion King, and shot for a cameo for the 2019-Ayan Mukerji directorial Brahmastra in November, Shah Rukh has been away from shooting for full-length roles for almost two and half years.

However, sources tell us that the actor would now start shooting for his role in Pathan — most likely by the end of November.

“Never before has it happened that Shah Rukh has not been on the set for 30 months at a stretch,” says the source, who adds that Pathan is expected to have a small schedule in Mumbai in six weeks from now. “Other actors in the film, such as John Abraham and Deepika Padukone, are expected to join the shooting when the second and a major schedule of the film takes place at an overseas location that is still being finalised.”
