Sanjay Dutt to begin shooting for Torbaaz, skips birthday celebrations

Recently, the actor wrapped up his other film Bhoomi' where he plays the role of a father to Aditi Rao Hydari.

Mumbai: Veteran actor Sanjay Dutt is exceedingly busy these days, thanks to his tight work schedule.

It’s hardly been two months since the actor wrapped up his family drama ‘Bhoomi’ alongside Aditi Rao Hydari, and now he will be flying down to South Africa for a 25-day shoot for his upcoming film 'Torbaaz'.

The method actor, who will be slipping into the shoes of a father to a child living in extreme conditions in Afghanistan, will be skipping his birthday celebrations (Dutt turns 58 on July 29) back home for work. In fact, a well-placed insider tells us that he has ordered his wife Manyata against travelling to his shoot destination with their kids Shahraan and Iqra.

Directed by Girish Malik, the action-thriller is a story about child suicide bombers. Speaking about the female lead in ‘Torbaaz’, Malik told us, ““There are three girls in this film. One girl will be playing the role of a parent. We have a few names in our mind for that. We will start approaching them now,” Girish said. “Then the second character is about a girl who runs a refugee camp, and we are looking at an international actress for that. We are in talks with a few Iranian actresses as well. The third leading girl is a Jordanian actress. We have artists from Afghanistan, Iran, and America.”
