Mumbai:  Priyanka Chopra's film production company Purple Pebble Pictures is determined to make content driven regional films and their next project stays true to that principle. Priyanka's production house is producing yet another Marathi film titled as 'Paani'. The ambitious project is being helmed by Adinath Kothare.

Adinath will also star in the film along with Rucha Vaidya, Subodh Bhave, Kishor Kadam, Girish Joshi and Rajit Kapoor. The upcoming film is a true story based on a man and his village Nagdarwadi, which is a part of drought-affected Maharashtra.

Priyanka also tweeted about how special a project like Paani is for her.

Priyanka tweeted, "This is what I had envisioned when starting @PurplePebblePic...A platform for good stories & new talent. #Paani is special because it’s based on a true story & deals with a very topical issue. Welcome aboard @adinathkothare & team...let’s create something special together!#Marathi."

Priyanka will next be seen opposite Salman Khan in Ali Abbas Zafar's period drama 'Bharat'. Bharat is slated to release for an Eid 2019.
