After exit from Deepika, Irrfan film, Honey Trehan to now direct Nawazuddin Siddiqui?

Casting director Honey Trehan who was supposed to make his directorial debut with Sapna Didi starring Irrfan Khan and Deepika Padukone has made an exit from the project. While he paved way for Vishal Bharadwaj there were reports about differences between the two.

None the less, Honey is now all set to helm his debut project, which will have Nawazuddin Siddiqui in lead.“Honey will be making his debut with a thriller film. He has approached Nawazudidn for the same and he is in talks with him. The film will go on floors soon,” says a source.

Honey who has a sharp sense of casting also produced Konkona Sen Sharma’s Death In The Gunj. Meanwhile, Nawaz will next be seen in Manto. Besides that he will also be seen essaying the role of Thackeray in the widely anticipated biopic — Thackeray — based on the radical right-wing Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray.
