Honey Singh opens up about his struggle with bipolar and alcoholism
Mumbai: Yo Yo Honey Singh was at the peak of his career when suddenly the rapper disappeared from the limelight, leaving behind many unanswered questions. Honey Singh was holed up in his Noida house for around 18 months before finally making an appearance in the media.
While many assumed that the reason behind his sudden disappearance was his controversial slap encounter with Shah Rukh Khan, the rapper reveals he was actually fighting bipolar disorder and alcoholism.
Reportedly, Honey Singh has confessed of being an alcoholic and suffering from bipolar disorder, which pushed him to disconnect from the world as he struggled to overcome it.
Few days ago at the trailer launch of his film 'Zorawar', Honey Singh cleared the air by saying, "Nothing like that happened. We have great relations (with each other). I met him (Shah Rukh Khan) after one-and-a-half years at an award function (recently), we couldn't meet earlier."
In his recent confession, ‘Blue Eyes’ rapper also reveals that when he was going through the dark phase, he penned down over 50 poems which depict his battle with the disorder. Honey Singh plans on publishing the poems some day for his fans to witness his struggle and how he battled it out.
