Ever since Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas announced their surprise engagement a couple of months ago, everyone’s been dying to know more about the secretive couple. We get the details from a source close to home — Priyanka’s cousin Parineeti.
“The first time I met Nick was at home. I had just returned from London. In fact, I am a huge fan of his, but I couldn’t tell him that. We were all hanging out, passing time, and we found Nick to be a really chilled out person,” Pari says, adding that she quickly began to explain to him the rituals involved in an Indian wedding. “I remember telling him that we would rob his shoes, and he’d only get them back when he shelled out some money. He was having fun and negotiating with us. He is a sweet, simple and sorted person,” the actress says. Talking about what she thinks of Priyanka and Nick as a couple, she says, “Right from the first meeting I felt like something right was happening. As a couple, they’re cute, and we knew that didi needed someone who would understand and appreciate her without taking her stardom into consideration. Nick is also a star and they are good together.

“She thinks we’re a good couple because she has watched the trailer of our film, and she finds our chemistry to be great. But Arjun and I are great pals… nothing more than that,” the actress clarifies.
