Maanayata quotes whopping fees on behalf of Sanjay Dutt, brand left shell-shocked

Buzz is that a top brand has wanted to work with Sanjay Dutt for a long time now. However, since the actor is away shooting for Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3, he was unable to deal with the brand directly.

As a result, everything including the monetary terms of the deal was being discussed by his better half, Manayata Dutt, who even takes calls on his fees now.

The brand was shell-shocked when Manayata finally put together the fee for the endorsement. “It was an astonishing sum that she asked for,” says a source close to the brand. “We agree that Sanjay is a big brand, but the price that was being asked for would pay for a current A-lister. Sanju was an A-lister once, but he will need to get a few hits behind him before he asks for that kind of money.”

Brand experts say that there’s a lot of buzz about Sanjay, which will only get better when the biopic on his life, starring Ranbir Kapoor, will release.

But till then, Manayata will have to hold her horses.
