Mumbai: Social media has given people the platform to convey their thoughts directly to celebrities.
However, this has led to Bollywood actresses being trolled, mocked and slut-shamed regularly on social media.
Be it Priyanka Chopra being trolled for her short dress while meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Deepika Padukone being termed ‘malnourished’ for one of her pictures, Celina Jaitley’s showing her baby bump in bathtub or Esha Gupta’s steamy pictures in lingerie, most of them received flood of negative comments.
The latest to join this list was Taapsee Pannu, who posted a picture in bikini from her upcoming film ‘Judwaa 2.’
While most actresses ignore the negative comments, considering it unimportant or a part and parcel of their profession, Taapsee Pannu chose to reply to a select few.
However, instead of getting angry on them, her sassy replies to them is what is making headlines.
One of the users taunted her, "If there is so much freedom of expression in our country, why don't you remove whatever you have worn as well. How proud your brother would be so proud of you looking at these pictures."
Taapsee gave the most hilarious response, by saying she didn’t have a brother, otherwise she would’ve surely asked. For now, will a sister’s answer do?, she joked.
Sorry Bhai hai nahi varna pakka puch ke bataati. Abhi ke liye behen ka answer chalega ???? https://t.co/Snv6dlNhWj— taapsee pannu (@taapsee) September 13, 2017
Another user wrote, "At least don’t post such dirty pictures on social media. By making such dirty films, you people are destroying the young generation of our country."
The actress gave another great response to the other one, joking how she was dirty with the sand on her body and that she will see to it next time.
Gndi??? I knew I should've washed that sand off me. Next time I will take care. I 'aaplog' for that 🤓 https://t.co/291ePztnlP— taapsee pannu (@taapsee) September 13, 2017
Both the users deleted the tweets from their accounts, but when will they remove them from their thoughts as well, we wonder.
