Exclusive: Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari wants to work with Alia, Shahid, Tiger and Vidya

Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, who previously belonged to the advertising background, has become a force to reckon with in the film industry. Her film, Nil Battey Sanata was a critically acclaimed film. Now, she is excited about her next venture, Bareily ki Barfi.

The slice of life film focuses on the bold and chirpy Bitti, essayed by Kriti Sanon. Ashwiny, cannot stop gushing about her lead actress, Kriti. She testifies, “Kriti hails from a simple background. This helped her portray the character to the best of her abilities. Kriti also loves to question you ask a filmmaker to absorb her character.”

The filmmaker now is eager to work with the new crop of actors. Ashwiny reasons, “I would love to work with Alia Bhatt, Shahid Kapoor and Tiger Shroff.

These actors have a wide range of interests, and these choices reflect in their reel character as well. Tiger is indeed a favourite with the children as he has a huge fan following.”

Ashwiny also wants to cast the newly elected member of the CBFC, Vidya Balan in one of her films. She says, “I have always admired Vidya’s performance in each of her role. She has a vast knowledge about cinema as well.” In response to the appointment of Vidya, she asserts,” Vidya has been there in the industry and understands the nuances of cinema. She will surely do justice to her job. I feel happy for she has been selected in the CBFC.”
