Empowering being a desi girl: Priyanka Chopra applauds Parineeti's dance tribute

Mumbai: Parineeti Chopra, who is currently out and about different cities with her Dream Team on the tour, paid a tribute to her cousin sister Priyanka Chopra in Houston.

At Dream Team Tour’s first show, Parineeti performed Priyanka’s ‘Desi Girl’ song from ‘Dostana’. Sharing a glimpse of her performance on Instagram account, Parineeti asked Priyanka for her approval by writing, “There ain't nobody like my desi girllll My tribute to the ultimate DESI GIRL, my sister!!! Wearing that sari was pretty empowering!!! Mimi didi do you approve?? @priyankachopra.”

Priyanka, who is currently busy shooting for her Hollywood TV show ‘Quantico’, didn’t just approve the act but absolutely loved it. Bollywood’s ‘Desi Girl’ quickly responded to Parineeti’s post by writing, “Love it baby girl! It is so empowering being a desi girl! Can't wait to c u @ParineetiChopra.”

There were rumours that Priyanka was going to join Karan, Katrina, Alia, Varun, Sidharth, Aditya and Parineeti on Dream Team Tour, however, the actress set the records straight soon enough.

After rocking Houston with their power-packed performances, the team has now moved on to San Jose for their next concert.
