Mumbai: Indian Space Research Organisation's most ambitious space mission, Chandrayaan 2, is all set to take off in early hours of Monday, 15th of July, 2019. As the countdown to the mission begins, actress Sonakshi Sinha took to twitter to cheer ISRO and highlighted the fact that this is the first time a space mission in India is being led by women.
One of India's most important and prestigious space missions, #Chandrayaan2, is led by women, which also happens to be a first for @isro! Proud of our spacewomen.

India’s second lunar mission, Chandrayaan 2, is headed by Muthyya Vanitha as project director and Ritu Karidhal as mission director. Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Chairman, K Sivan, revealed in a press conference that 30% of Chandrayaan-2 team are women. This is not the first time Sonakshi has been a cheerleader for girl power. Few days ago she hailed Indian sports women for bringing laurels and first ever golds in international athletics events.

Interestingly, Sonakshi will also be playing the role of a scientist in Mission Mangal, which is scheduled to release on 15th of August. She is also gearing up for the release of Khandaani Shafakhana, a light hearted film which aims to break the taboos around sex....
