Rajkumar Hirani's most trusted lieutenant Abhijat Joshi to finally turn director?
Hirani was so happy with his conviction for the subject that he has suggested Abhijat should also turn director with the film.
The strongest buzz at the moment from the Rajkumar Hirani camp is that Abhijat Joshi is all set to step into the director’s chair. Abhijat is one of Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Rajkumar Hirani’s most able arms when it comes to penning down scripts for their films.
“There is a rumor in the Hirani-Chopra circle that the 48-year-old Abhijat has come up with another great script. Hirani was so happy with his conviction for the subject that he has suggested Abhijat should also turn director with the film,” says a source. Abhijat’s younger brother, Saumya Joshi, recently scripted the film 102 Not Out.
Abhijat was also one of the key writers in PK as well as Sanju, where Ranbir put in a special appearance in the latter and played the lead role in the former. Hirani is expected to produce the film.
