On Wednesday Abhay Deol ruffled quite a few feathers by calling out actors who were in advertising for fairness creams. While none of the actors said anything about it, Sonam Kapoor seemed quite affected by Abhay’s post.
On Wednesday night, the actress lashed out at Abhay by posting a photo of Esha Deol, Abhay’s cousin, and she is seen endorsing a fairness cream. Along with the photo she wrote, “@AbhayDeol I appreciate and concur with your views and would like to know your thoughts on this as well. (sic)”. Abhay simply replied, “Is wrong too. For my views read my post. (sic)”.
However the conversation didn’t end there. Sonam went to add that the ad in question was shot 10 years ago. She wrote, “I shot this campaign ten years ago and didn’t understand the ramifications. Thank you for bringing this to the forefront (sic)”. To which Abhay replied, “More power to you @sonamakapoor maybe you can use your power as well to take this further than the forefront. (sic)”
Even though the two called it a truce, Twitteratis started trolling Sonam for trying to put Abhay down. An agitated Sonam, then Tweeted in reference to Abhay’s Tweet, “Did anyone bother reading this tweet or just want to troll... I think it’s important to know the whole picture before jumping to conclusions (sic)”. But when people continued to troll her, she deleted all her tweets.
