Despite prominent actors like Mahesh Babu, Pawan Kalyan and many others, Bollywood actors Ajay Devgn and Kajol have been appointed as brand ambassadors of Andhra Pradesh.
While AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s decision has raised many eyebrows, insiders say that the decision was prompted by Devgn’s interest in setting up an entertainment and media centre in the new state capital Amaravati.
After meeting the CM, a source close to Ajay Devgn said, “I have been working in Hyderabad for the past 25 years and have seen the city change and grow under Chandrababu Naidu. The change has been dramatic. If he stays at the helm (of AP), the place will be set for a great change.” He added that he had plans for a world-class media city and mini digital theatres in the state.
