First look: Meet Kareena Kapoor Khan aka Dr Shivani Gupta from Udta Punjab

Mumbai: Kareena Kapoor Khan, who is known to be extremely stylish, dons the simple look of a doctor in the upcoming film ‘Udta Punjab’. After releasing Shahid Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh’s first look from the film, the makers have now releases Kareena’s first look.

In the character poster, we hear Kareena Kapoor Khan saying, “Jashanpura mei jo ho raha hai uska idea hai aapko? Amritsar ka, Taran Taran ka, Punjab ka, hai idea aapko?”

In the poster, we see the glam-queen Kareena in a simple avatar as she dons doctor’s look yet again. The actress plays the role of Dr Shivani Gupta.

Interestingly, the actress has played a doctor before also in films like Salman Khan starrer ‘Kyon Ki’, ‘Kambakkht Ishq’, ‘3 Idiots’ and ‘Agent Vinod’.

Earlier in an interview, Kareena spoke about ‘Udta Punjab’ and her role in the film.

“I play a doctor in the film. It’s (the role) very simple and nice, good Samaritan kind of a thing. But the whole atmosphere of the film is so nice and dark that the role is very different,” Kareena had said.

‘Udta Punjab’, directed by Abhishek Chaubey, was made after four years of research and is based around the drug-related problems prevalent in Punjab.

The film also stars Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh.
