Mumbai: While it’s been a season of biopics with mainstream A-list actors all jumping into the bandwagon, especially the ones pertaining to the lives of sports personalities. Priyanka Chopra did it, Sushant Singh Rajput and Farhan Akhtar did it, Aamir Khan did one himself and Akshay Kumar is all set to do one.

As per the latest rumours doing the rounds, Harshvardhan Kapoor will soon be seen in one.

Harshvardhan, who’ll next be seen in Vikramaditya Motwane’s ‘Bhavesh Joshi,’ might be soon seen playing Olympic gold medallist Abhinav Bindra on the big-screen.

However, the bigger casting coup is that father Anil Kapoor will play his reel dad as well!

“The finance, cast, studio and script are all in place. Abhinav has given the go-ahead. Right now, they are figuring out the dates as they want to start shooting in summer. Anil is currently in London, shooting.”

The source adds that AS was the backbone behind Abhinav’s victory. “After Abhinav returned from the Sydney Olympics, his father invested in a farmhouse where Abhinav could stay and shoot. He always arranged the best for his son. For over 20 years, he has helped his son pursue his dream. Anil loved the script and has given the nod,” DNA quoted a source as saying.

This could very much mean a major boost in Harsh’s career, and as for Anil, the most important driving force in Abhinav’s life is a meaty enough role.

AK will also be seen playing uncle to real-life nephew Arjun Kapoor in Anees Bazmee’s ‘Mubarakan’.
