Twinkle Khanna’s #WhatsInYourDabba challenge has got a green signal from Bollywood’s best.

Twinkle Khanna is known for her wit and unconventional thinking, and she often flaunts her smarts on social media for everyone to enjoy. This Monday, Mrs Funnybones went a step ahead and started an Instagram campaign called #WhatsInYourDabba as  a part of her digital initiative Tweak India. The writer shared her own dabba (tiffin box) with her audience, further nominating her husband Akshay Kumar and her friends Sonali Bendre and Malaika Arora to do the same. As part of the challenge, nominees have to share some healthy recipes that they swear by from their lunch or dinner boxes.

Twinkle captioned her post: “I may occasionally be a ‘VADA PAV-ERED’ girl but I also carry some healthy treats in my dabba like these yummy beetroot tikkis!” As for Akshay, Malaika and Sonali, she added: “I’d love to know your favourite healthy treats.”

 

Soon after, Akshay took up the challenge and posted a photo of himself with several dabbas. The actor captioned the picture: “Eating clean is not an option, but a way of life for me. Here’s a glimpse at what made me spring into action this morning. Sharing how you can also make my favourite avocado on toast and my chia pudding.”

Following this, fitness enthusiast Malaika too shared a video about what is in her dabba. She wrote on the post: “And my quest for vegan, healthy recipes continues... Thank you Twinkle for nominating me. So here’s what’s in your dabba my style... Zucchini noodles with red bell pepper sauce.”

 

While Akki nominated Katrina Kaif, Bhumi Pednekar and cricketer Shikhar Dhawan, Malaika further nominated beau Arjun Kapoor, Sophie Chowdry and Shilpa Shetty to take up the challenge.

Shikhar also shared a picture of his breakfast on Sunday, writing: “Thank you so much @akshaykumar Paaji, for nominating me.. Let me show you all a sneak peek into my breakfast — To begin with I love my fruits, they give me all my natural sugars. In this case I’m eating Papaya and Pineapple, pineapple being the fat burner. Sprinkled some flax seeds and sunflower seeds on it as well. Next there’s Baked beans for my protein and avocado toast which is good fat. A tasty Masala Uttapam with Sambar which makes it a carb loaded breakfast which keeps my energy up the whole day! #WhatsInYourDabba @tweakindia. (sic)”
Bollywood is clearly happy to show support to Mrs Funnybones’ health challenge.
