Since Salman Khan’s Bharat has gone on floors it has been gathering headlines. While, earlier it was about Priyanka Chopra first agreeing and then walking out of the project, now, the news is about actor Varun Dhawan making a special appearance in the film.
Varun has been signed on to play an important cameo in the film, but not many are aware of the nature of his role. Our insiders tell us that Varun is essaying the role of a young Dhirubhai Ambani from the post-partition days. “The character of Varun will have the audiences smile because they will realise that Varun is indeed playing the character of Sr Ambani (Dhirubhai Ambani) in the film. The character has been used primarily to show certain important facets of the pre and post Partition days. In fact, another interesting thing in the film is that Katrina Kaif is playing Salman Khan’s boss in the movie,” says a source. One can recall that earlier, it was Abhishek Bachchan who essayed the role of Ambani or a character inspired by his life in the Mani Ratnam film Guru.
