Taapsee Pannu has been a part of many women-oriented films (pardon the cliché) like Pink, Naam Shabana and Manmarziyaan but she gets her first release on International Women’s day for her Sujoy Ghosh directed film Badla opposite Amitabh Bachchan.
“Yes, Badla is releasing on March 8, 2019, which is International Women’s Day. I have done many films, but this is my first film to release on Women’s Day,” gushed the actress in a media interaction.
“I have been looking for a release on this date and Badla is that special film which releases on that day. All of Sujoy’s films have very important female characters and what makes it very special that even Mr Bachchan is a part of the project and his films too (of late) have great female characters,” she said.
Taapsee has four films releasing in 2019 including a bilingual in Tamil and Telugu. Taapsee is also slated to start another Hindi film in February and on the verge of signing another film as well.
“All her films are in different genres and her roles too are pretty different from each other,” informs our source.
