John on demonetisation: Those who have truthfully earned their money will not suffer

John Abraham on the challenges he faced while shooting his first movie and more.

John Abraham is coming up with yet another action packed film Force-2. According to him, this is not a sequel of Force in any way. “This film is very different from the first one where Yashvardhan’s friends and wife die. This story goes five years ahead where he is an ACP and on a death mission. The intriguing plot of Force 2 is inspired by real life incidents so there is a bit of mystery involved,” says John.

The actor also adds that honesty is the best policy which the protagonist follows and he is personally inspired by the character of ACP Yashvardhan.

John is one of the B-town actors who has made it big in the Tinsel Town on his own. So, did he get any support in the beginning of his career?

“During my time, I always preferred going by the trial and error method. My first film, Aitebar, was with Amitabh Bachchan. I was informed that his dates are more important than my hand. I really respected that. I had a fracture in my hand, so while shooting, I had to remove the brace, finish with the sequence and then wear it back on with a lot of pain, slamming some ice packs on my hand. I don’t think Amitabh Bachchan is even aware of this. I finished my shoot in the same condition for almost a month. So whenever I am working with my co-artists, I need to be fully confident with the action director and also take care of mine as well their safety which is of utmost importance.”

During the shooting of Dishoom, if it wasn’t for John checking Varun Dhawan’s harness during an action scene, the actor would have been hurt.

Adding further about Bollywood, John adds, “Although I am not from the industry, I never felt like an outsider. This industry is the nicest place you’ll ever find. People here are eager to do their best thus leaving little scope for any problems.”

We also ask the actor what he feels about the recent demonetization. Says John, “Those who have truthfully earned their money will not suffer even during this momentarily change.”
