‘Sui Dhaaga: Made In India’ trailer has been unveiled and like it deserves, it has been winning hearts all over.
The trailer was unveiled with Anushka Sharma, Varun Dhawan, Maneesh Sharma and Sharat Katariya at YRF studios today.
There Anushka spoke on the movie with, “‘Sui Dhaaga’ is celebrating entrepreneurship, love and much more. The subtle layers are so special in the film you'll get deep insight into these characters, struggle and faith despite the struggle, relying on one another for self-reliance, respect and love for each other. You are in pain where you know it's getting better. I used to always wait when Raghuvendra Singh came on sets. I had to mentally prepare to play character. It's not about adding or removing something.”
Maneesh was all praises for her as he said, “Anushka is a very natural and gifted actor. Was an AD in ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’. She's an honest artist with no baggage of character or script. I never get surprised with her performance. She will complete a decade in December.”
Director Sharat Katariya was asked if he has given the locals also some chance in his film, to which he said, “Common tailors will appear but not have prominent role. We just wanted realism, since it also helps actors,” to which Varun Dhawan interrupted, “Factory owners play a part in the film.”
Opening up on how Bollywood works, Anushka revealed, “People usually cast you through your personality or previous character,” while Varun went on to say, “I always knew I'm fantastic. People took time to realize it.”
Varun went asked if he’s expecting the movie to hit the 200-crore mark, quipped, “I have no cleared, “Adi gives bonus.”
Speaking about apprehension, Anushka stated, “I never think I have to give bhayankar (terrific) performance,” further adding, “I'm never in comfort zone in life and like to put myself in complicated situations.”
