Going by the recently-released poster of the film, Dhaakad seems to be a high-octane, action-packed release. However, word in the trade has it that Tabu, who is known to be a soft-spoken, mild-mannered star, is also being considered for the Razneesh Ghai-directed film.
“Tabu may be quiet and fun on the sets but she is not someone who takes things lying down. There are talks to sign her on for the film because the film needs a character who is also a firebrand of sorts. Though not the lead, the role being offered to Tabu is a very strong one,” say trade sources.
The film bankrolled by Sohel Maklai productions in association with Asylum films is co-produced by Qyuki Digital Media and is set to clash with the Varun Dhawan starrer, Rannbhoomi next Diwali.
