These kids should go much ahead of their surnames: Karan Johar on Janhvi, Ishaan

Bollywood director and producer Karan Johar turned emotional as he once again turned mentor to two fresh faces Jhanvi and Ishaan. At the trailer launch of Dhadak, the director said, “I could see both of them go ahead trying to put in their best in every scene, be it a thriller, drama or emotional scene. These two have worked really very hard.” Since Karan has played a crucial role in launching two careers, one wonders about the responsibilities that go along with this act. “Whenever I decide to launch any star kids I always keep in mind that these kids should go much ahead of their surname and that they should be able to pave a path for themselves and this can happen only if they are talented enough,” says Karan.

As dad Boney Kapoor was also present at the launch, he was asked to share his feelings too. But, eager to turn the spotlight where it belonged, Boney merely said, “It is their day today, so you ask them about their feelings.”
