Despite grand welcome to Kesari, Parineeti gets lesser screen than Akshay Kumar

‘Kesari’ began on a great note. It got Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan and Karan Johar together. However, Salman later opted out of the film and Dharma Productions announced that the leading actor for this movie based on Battle of Saragarhi would be Akshay.

The shoot of the movie began with him and later it was announced that Parineeti Chopra, who had just acted in Ajay Devgn starrer ‘Golmaal Again’ then, would also be part of the film.

However Deccan Chronicle has now learnt that Parineeti will not even be part of major chunk of the film.

“Parineeti has a minuscule role in ‘Kesari’. She plays Akshay's wife and only comes in the flashback sequences since the film is based on Battle of Saragarhi. It is a story of the army of three men and Akshay plays one of the army men,” informs our source.

While it is still unclear if Parineeti dies in the film or Akshay just misses her, this definitely is a disappointment for all Pari fans.

To add to all of this, ‘Kesari’ sets had even caught fire recently and the team is still left to shoot for 10 days before post-production work on the film begins.
