Mumbai: A few days ago, tongues started wagging after the Mersal director Atlee met Shah Rukh Khan during the KKR vs CSK cricket match at the Chepauk Stadium. While we had confirmed that SRK isn’t doing the Mersal remake, now we have more details on SRK’s plans.
“At the moment, he is not signing any film. Shah Rukh is only listening to various scripts from different makers before deciding on his next course of action. As a producer he has been on a roll bankrolling projects like Badla, Bard Of Blood and others, but as an actor, he wants to be double sure and does not want to sign too many films. He has been around here for over 27 years and does not have anything to prove to anyone. He just wants to do the right project now,” says a source close to Shah Rukh Khan.
The trade, too, is speaking in hushed whispers about how several directors who haven’t worked with Shah Rukh Khan yet, are pitching their scripts to King Khan along with the usual suspects like Farah Khan, Rohit Shetty and Sanjay Leela Bhansali among others.
However, which film will Shah Rukh Khan greenlight, remains to be seen.
