On Sunday, the film fraternity was in full attendance at the memorial meeting held as a tribute to superstar Sridevi at a Chennai hotel. A host of Kollywood stars were present to express their sympathies to the Kapoor clan and Sridevi-Boney Kapoor’s daughters, Jhanvi and Khushi. It must be remembered that Sridevi started her career in Tamil films before moving to Mumbai and becoming the first woman superstar of Bollywood.

Yet another tribute meeting was held for her by the South Indian Artistes’ Association, better known as Nadigar Sangam. Actor Ajith and his wife Shalini, director Priyadarshan and actress Meena had previously visited Sridevi’s residence to pay their respects soon after the news of her passing.
