Priyanka Chopra has come a long way from being a beauty queen, to being a Bollywood star and now is making ripples internationally. While the leggy lass has been going strong professionally, her personal life remains closely guarded as always. While PeeCee chooses not to speak about her private life, her mother, Madhu Chopra, spills the beans.
“It’s a very beautiful bond between Priyanka and me,” said Chopra Sr. “When she needs a mother, I become her mother and when she needs a friend, I become her friend. I keep changing for her. There was a time when I used to insist that she get married. But now, I don’t do that anymore, because she says she’s in a very nice place right now and she wants to continue being this way.”
For the longest time, PeeCee has not been linked with any of her co-stars. Her mom asserts that she’s busy basking in the glory of her American telly series, Quantico. Besides her Bollywood and Hollywood projects, Priyanka and Madhu are working on producing regional films under their banner. Currently, the two are busy promoting their Punjabi movie Sarvann with their home banner, Purple Pebble Pictures. “Priyanka herself is a huge brand in herself and just a mention of her name will be useful,” explains Madhu. “As far as Priyanka as a producer is concerned, she’s very hands-on and strict. She as a brand will certainly help, and we are going to make the most of her, despite she not being here. She’s made me feel extremely proud.”
