Virat and Anushka's Band Baaja Baarat became possible thanks to this couple
Mumbai: The whole nation is in awe of Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli’s wedding, which took place in Italy yesterday.
It was a dream destination wedding for many, but it was possible thanks to another couple.
This couple includes Devika Narain, a wedding planner, and her husband Joseph Radhik, a wedding photographer.
Devika owns a Facebook page called Devika Narain and Company, where she wrote “We’ve been keeping a secret for a couple of months now and all of it has come to life today, in a beautiful Tuscan village, where Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma official got married.”
“It’s finally all settling in, the cold is seeping back in and at this point I’m an odd mix of relief and immense excitement. Virat and Anushka’s wedding was indeed a well kept secret. “In recent past Devika made frequent trips to Italy. But, she never disclosed it to us. Sometimes she said she was moving to Rome, sometimes to Paris. It was only on Monday evening, when she broke the news to her grandmother confirming that they designed the grand wedding that we came to know about it,” said Pradeep, a local promoter of SPIC MACAY, an organisation that promotes Indian culture, arts and music among the youth, to Hindustan Times.
In an interview to News18, Devika Narain’s father Pradeep Narain also said, “We just came to know half an hour before that our daughter and son-in-law arranged such a big wedding. My son-in-law Joesph called me up in the evening and asked me to congratulate Devika for doing something really big. It was then that we came to know of it.”
While Devika conceptualized the wedding, her husband Joseph brought it to life with his photography throughout the wedding.
