Bhumi Pednekar opens up on prep for Sushant Singh Rajput starrer Chambal

Bhumi Pednekar is looking forward to the shoot of her next film Son Chiraiya, opposite Sushant Singh Rajput to be helmed by director Abhishek Chaubey. It is based on the dacoits of Chambal. She says, “The prep is going great — we are starting very soon. It is a phenomenal script. There is lot of nervousness. I have some brilliant co-stars, and you have to up your game all the time. So, it is a lot of good and nervous energy,” she says.

Bhumi has had a pretty successful year with films like Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and Shubh Mangal Savdhan performing well at the box office. “Being an actor, you want to work in successful films. It is a humbling experience as well. You always feel good when your instinct and gut works. It comes back to the point that content is king. Hence, I always go for strong stories and characters,” she says.
