Mumbai: Sushant Singh Rajput was excited about an espionage thriller RAW – Romeo Akbar Walter. The actor had also shared official posters of the movie on social media. Later it was reported that Sushant has opted out of film due to scheduling conflicts with other big movies. The film that was rumoured to be shelved is back on the track with Abhishek Bachchan as a new leading man.
A source close to the development said, “the film will now have Abhishek Bachchan playing the lead role. It’s based on true events. The director and producers feel Abhishek is perfect for the slick action-thriller.”
“Vanessa Walia, Bunty Walia’s wife, is one of the producers of the film. Bunty and Abhishek have known each other for years and are close family friends. So, when he liked the script, he okayed the film immediately”, a source added.
Abhishek Bachchan will start prepping up for the film with intense fitness routine. The film is said to have high-octane action sequences that requires a particular physique.
Abhishek who was last seen in Akshay Kumar’s Houseful 3 has interesting line up of movies next year.
