Akshay-Abhishek express grief as they attend the funeral of Shilpa Shetty's father

Mumbai: Shilpa Shetty Kundra’s father Surendra Shetty passed away on Tuesday at Ambani Hospital in Mumbai following a heart attack. His funeral rites were conducted on Wednesday at Pavan Hans in Juhu where Shilpa, her sister Shamita and her well-wishers were seen arriving at the crematorium.

Shilpa’s friends from the film industry, Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan and several others were also seen.

Shilpa’s husband Raj Kundra was seen performing the rituals during the funeral proceedings.

The news came as a shock to the family and several celebrities had offered their condolences and expressed their grief on Twitter. Several other friends of the actress family’s had arrived on Tuesday evening to console them after they came to know about the sad news.
