Watch: Radhika, Surveen, Tannishtha as rustic women in Ajay Devgn's Parched trailer

Mumbai: The film ‘Parched’ had recently made news for a leaked sex scene featuring Radhika Apte and Adil Hussain. However, the film seems to come out of the controversy with the trailer that was unveiled on Monday.

The film, set in the villages, talks about the journey of the characters of Radhika, Tannishtha Chatterjee and Surveen Chawla. While Tannishtha is a 32-year-old widow with a 17-year-old son, Surveen is a sex worker who also dances at the village functions and Radhika is childless and repeated references to it perhaps has got something to do with the title of the film.

Domestic abuse, violence against women, child marriage and apathy towards educating girls are some of the issues that comes across in the trailer.

Despite all the hype over the sex scene, Adil Hussain makes just a fleeting appearance in the trailer.

Ajay Devgn is the presenter of the film and has been credited as one of the producers of the film, which has won numerous international awards already.
