Taapsee trolled for scene in Mission Mangal trailer

Actress gets it from Twittearti as she is seen getting her hands on the driving teacher instead of the gear.

Taapsee, a voice known for speaking up on social media for gender equality, feminism etc., has once again been trolled heavily by netizens for a scene in the recently released trailer of 'Mission Mangal'.

It was supposed to have been a humorous take on Taapsee's character being taught to drive when she erroneously gets her hand on the driving teacher's 'gear' instead of the car gear and the man screams in pain.

Netizens, disgusted with the scene, are pointing out how it would have been perceived were the characters to reverse and if a man had done this to a woman. The trolls were quite brutal on the Pink actress with posts like 'peak feminism from @taapsee while some called it a toxic and cheap form of feminism.

Professor Veer Paaji wrote, “That's called toxic & cheap FEMINISM. Imagine the vice versa & see the rage on social media. One more thing men will go on riot mode (laughing) at this scene. @taapsee #MissionMangalNewTrailer.”

Scar posted,” They made Mission Mangal to show India's achievements or so that Tapsee Pannu can harass men? If Kabir Singh slapping a girl was wrong, Tapsee molesting a man is definitely crime. Women are trash!”

The same person recalled Taapsee's mocking director Sandeep Reddy, who had defended the slapping scene in Kabir Singh and posted, “A slap scene in Kabir Singh is responsible for murder: @taapsee. Taapsee molesting men is not responsible for molestations & rapes but it is feminism: Bollywood. Bollywood Women are trash.”

Reminding her of the Pink theme, Vinay. S wrote, “It's not okay to touch someone's private parts without his permission. It's rape of a male by this female. 'No means no' should apply to everyone. Kindly delete this scene.”

Arindham posted, “Peak feminism from @taapsee.” Kachra Peti said, “Funny video of Tapsee Nunnu”. Yet another wrote, “Feminism ki jai ho #TapseeNunnu.”

Directed by Jagan Shakti, Mission Mangal features Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha, Vidya Balan, Taapsee and Nithya Menen among others. It is sci-fi loosely based on the story of scientists at ISRO who contributed to the Mars Orbiter Mission. Let's wait and watch as how the leggy actress reacts to these comments!
