I agree with Kriti Sanon, says Sushant, when asked about their rumoured link-up
Mumbai: Actor Sushant Singh Rajput and India's ace cricketer M.S.Dhoni launched the trailer amidst the crazy fans on Thursday evening. Director Neeraj Pandey also graced the occasion.
The film is inarguably the most awaited biopic in a while now. When asked, Sushant, who is playing M.S. Dhoni in the film about his research on his life, the actor said, "It was more excitement than pressure. In 2006, I clicked a family pic with him and he is a very humble person. I feel there are very few films in your career where you end up becoming a good human being. I saw M.S. losing his cool for the first time when I spoke to him a lot on several things during my research repetitively."
Speaking on his struggle, Sushant said, "Its how one perceives. I felt connected with his life and circumstances. I related to his struggle in life before he got the stardom from cricket."
"Cricket is one of the aspects of the film. To convince the audience, I had to play cricket. At the second day of my training, my trainer Kiran More trained me aggressively. Honestly, initially I thought that it was easy but after 30-40 secs I got backaches, bruises all over. I realised it is a tough job and now I have an immense respect for the cricketers," Sushant added.
When prodded on the best thing about M.S. Dhoni, the actor said, "I feel unlike others he lives in present and doesn't dwell in past or future. I feel he is too calm in handling worse situations."
About working with Neeraj Pandey, he said, "Very few times you feel that the shot you gave is satisfying. I was always sure that Neeraj will guide me in the minutest of things while performing."
Sushant has been in the news for his rumoured relationship with Kriti Sanon. When asked about his side of story at the launch, he said, "I agree with what Kriti Sanon has reported about us to the media." And when asked about his marriage plans, he said, "I need to have a girl first to marry."
At the trailer launch, producer Arun Pandey said, "We have the full support of every board. That's why we were able to make this movie. Sushant, Neeraj and M.S. spent a lot of time in creative discussions. Neeraj has been a great support and made my job easier."
