Exclusive: Katrina reacts to reports of launching her sister Isabelle in Bollywood
While there have been reports that Katrina Kaif would be producing a film for her sister, Isabelle Kaif, she makes it clear that nothing of that sort is on the cards.
“That would honestly be the worst move for her, because there is no credibility in that. I am an actor and not a producer. And it makes it seem like nobody would bet on her, and that’s not right. She has to stand on her own feet,” Katrina said.
“And even if I do get into production, I don’t have the experience or the expertise of stalwarts like Karan Johar or Ramesh Taurani. These are the connections that I have earned and they’re the people I am in conversation with,” she added.
“I sent a lot of my sister’s audition tapes to Adi. I am also in contact with Shanoo Sharma. I am taking it step by step. I believe if you don’t assist someone in the right way, then you are setting them up to fail,” the 33-year-old says.
Of course, the protective sister is guiding Isabelle, but there is a problem. “Unfortunately, she is facing the same issues I did in the beginning — language. She studied in New York, the language remains a significant battle. It is still one of the uphill struggles for me as well, and I guess it would be the same for Isabelle,” she signs off.

Katrina Kaif’s birthday, which is on July 16, is almost coinciding with the release of her much delayed film, Jagga Jasoos. But the question is whether Katrina will celebrate her birthday with great pomp and show?
“My birthday is coming close to the release of Jagga Jasoos. The celebrations will depend on the box office result of my film,” says Katrina, and adds, “The entire team is responsible for the success and failure of a film, but I am also feeling the stress.”
