SS Rajamouli's Baahubali to be screened at Cannes Film Festival

The filmmaker along with producer Shobu Yarlagadda will be leading a panel discussion on May 16.

Mumbai: The southern magnum opus 'Baahubali: The Beginning' which surpassed several records at the Box Office, is all set to be screened at the prestigious Cannes film festival.

What's more interesting is that director S.S. Rajamouli and producer Shobu Yarlagadda will be leading a panel discussion on May 16.

Rajamouli, who got the Best Feature Film award at the recently held 63rd National Film Awards, will lead a discussion on virtual reality (VR) at the Marché du Film, a film market event taking place alongside the festival.

The panel discussion titled Increasing the Intensity and Scale of Epic Film Experiences through VR at the NEXT Pavilion will be moderated by Patrick Frater, Asia Bureau Chief, Variety.

The interactive panel will be streamed live via the official Facebook page of “Baahubali: The Beginning” and AMD.

'Baahubali : The Beginning', which released in July last year, went on to script box-office history by becoming the country's highest grosser ever. It has been lauded for its cinematic brilliance in creating a fantasy world on the screen.

The makers are currently shooting the second installment of the film titled 'Baahubali: The Conclusion'.
