Watch: Shahid Kapoor's first look from Udta Punjab will make your jaw drop

Mumbai: Shahid Kapoor introduced his character Tommy Singh from his much-awaited film 'Uta Punjab', and by the looks of it, this one is going to be a mysterious and twisted tale.

Shahid, who plays the role of a Punjabi music sensation, has effortlessly managed to adopt the swagger, style and lingo of rock musicians. Sporting long locks and tattoos, this new avatar will definitely make your jaw drop.

Few hours back, Shahid shared the film's poster which is set on a backdrop of a concert in Punjab. The film revolves around the issue of drug abuse among the youth of Punjab.

Shahid shared the first look and wrote, "#UdtaPunjab. #udtapunjabstartsrolling today"

'Udta Punjab' also stars Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor and Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh. The film has been directed by Abhishek Chaubey and is co-produced by Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Motion Pictures and Phantom.
