Snapped: Karan takes his 'students' Alia and Varun out on a cozy dinner date

Mumbai: Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar stepped out on Saturday night to have dinner with his near and dear ones at a popular restaurant in Mumbai.

Dressed in a plain grey sweatshirt and blue denims, the filmmaker-cum-host-cum actor was snapped with his prodigies, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt, who are currently busy shooting for Dharma Production’s ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’.

The three were also accompanied by Aarti Shetty and Kunal Rawal. The gang was all smiles as they stepped out after having a cozy dinner. While Alia seemed in a hurry and only waited for a wave, Varun and Karan were shoulder-to-shoulder, laughing as they bid their adieu to each other and friends.

Alia and Varun are making a comeback as onscreen couple with ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’, which will be taking the ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ franchise ahead. The duo recently shot for ‘Tamma Tamma’ for their film, which is being directed by Shashank Khaitan.
